Offered at Cal State LA Downtown, the Paralegal Studies (PLS) Certificate Program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) and offers two convenient schedule options. The Full-Time Compressed Schedule allows students to take morning and afternoon courses and complete the program within one semester. Students enrolled in the Part-Time Evening Schedule take weeknight courses, allowing them to finish the program in two or three semesters. Our program equips students with a strong foundation of legal knowledge and the skills required to apply their knowledge to a variety of practical tasks required of the profession. Cost is $5,400 plus supplies.

UCR Extension Professional Studies offers the only ABA-approved Professional Certificate in Paralegal Studies in the Inland Empire. The program features an intensive curriculum that combines legal theory and analysis with the practical skills required of paralegals to perform a range of legal tasks to help lawyers prepare for closings, hearings, trial and corporate meetings.

Students receive professional instruction from experienced judges, attorneys and paralegals who undergo a rigorous academic approval. Courses are offered in the evenings and includes internship
